Sit-And-Knit with Jen Geigley

Join us for a casual come-and-go knitter's gathering with our special guest, Jen Geigley (north-Iowa native, super-knitter, and published author) of Jen Geigley Knits. Originally from Buffalo Center and Forest City, Jen now lives in Des Moines and is coming up for the afternoon to drink beer, knit, chat, teach, sign books - whatever we feel like! The brewery will denote a cozy KNITTING ZONE where anyone interested can hang out with their knitting (or just their beer!) and get to know Jen. This is a great opportunity for local knitters to share their projects with Jen and other knitters and to get inspired with some new ideas and skills. Although not quite a class, bring your questions and ideas for crazy dream projects and Jen will do her best to advise you! Knitting newbies are more than welcome.

About Jen
Jen (Berggren) Geigley has self-published knitwear patterns since 2010, and her designs have been published in Knit Simple Magazine, Noro Magazine, Knitsy Magazine and Rowan’s Online Publications and is the author of 'Weekend: Simple, Modern Knits' and 'Everyday: A casual, modern hand-knit collection.' Her most popular pattern, the Gap-tastic cowl, has been knit 17,660 times on Ravelry (and has been spotted around Mason City!). Jen is passionate about sharing the love of knitting by teaching knitting classes to adults and children at local high schools and workshops, and loves knitting with her daughter. A north Iowa native, she now lives in Des Moines with her family.
