Fall Flower Bouquet Workshop

IMG_7174.JPG

Organize some friends and come make something pretty!

In this fun flower arranging workshop, Kristina Hand of Spruce Ave Flowers in Fertile will be showing you how to make an easy fall bouquet that you can take home (or to work, to show off!), sharing a little bit of her flower knowlege with us, and buying you a beer/cider/root beer. The price of the class ($25) also includes the vase/mason jar.

Spruce Ave Flowers is not an ordinary florist, as all the flowers she uses are actually grown from seed, root, or bulb right in Fertile. Kristina says flowers that are locally grown are more much more unique (many flowers are too fragile or can’t be shipped in from another country and aren’t available at your local florist), they smell better because they are fresher and chemical free (safe to sniff), and they help our local ecosystem (happier bees and butterflies).

How do you keep cut flowers fresh longest? How do I shop for more sustainable flowers? What's blooming right now? Come with ALL of your flower questions for Kristina and she'd be happy to chat with you.
