Was one of your New Year’s resolutions to learn something new or be more creative? Or spruce up your home or office in 2022? Textile artist Jasmyn Blanchard from Violet Creations in Nora Springs is here to help with all of those goals as she joins us for a cozy beginner-level macrame workshop in the taproom on Feb. 23. For those unfamiliar with macrame, it’s basically a yarn, leather, or rope-based crafting style using knots and fringe to make something pretty. It was super popular in the 1970s and is currently having a trendy resurgence! This small group class (only 10 spots available) will be making these cute wine bag/totes seen here. (One tote per participant.) Not only do they make a super functional bag for your bubbly, they also can function as adorable storage around the home.
Your $30 ticket includes:
yarn (different colors to choose from when you arrive)
your finished wine bag/tote
instruction and encouragement
one free beer, wine, cider, or root beer
The workshop will start as a group at 7 PM. You might want to arrive a few minutes early to get your free drink and settle in! Please check in with the bar when you arrive.
(No refunds on tickets.)
