Fayme Rochelle & The Waxwings are a harmony-driven country/Americana band based in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Rooted in the traditions of classic country music while embracing the spirit of modern Americana, the band blends original songwriting with a carefully curated mix of timeless covers. Their cozy afternoon show this winter at Fat Hill will feature Fayme Rochelle (Vocals, Acoustic Guitar, Songwriter) and Tripp Evenson (Electric Guitar, Banjo).
Their performances are anchored by strong vocal harmonies and a relaxed, inviting stage presence that connects easily with audiences of all kinds, from wineries to breweries, festivals to small theaters. The band’s musical influences stretch across generations—from the country elegance of Emmylou Harris and the Bakersfield sound of Buck Owens to the grit and poetry of Lucinda Williams and the honky-tonk energy of Dwight Yoakam and Loretta Lynn.
Alongside these influences, the band is steadily building a catalog of original music that reflects their love of storytelling, classic songcraft, and the shared tradition of classic country music. Their shows celebrate what country music has always done best—great songs, heartfelt performances, and harmonies that stick with you long after the last note.
